Super-Ox™
In Situ Oxygenation Equipment

Oxygen is a limiting factor for most aerobic bioremediation efforts. For example, petroleum hydrocarbon compounds (BTEX, TPH, etc.) require a 3:1 stoichiometric ratio of oxygen:hydrocarbon for aerobic biological degradation. Therefore, effective aerobic bioremediation of a typical UST site requires the delivery of large masses of dissolved oxygen (DO) to the subsurface. Unfortunately, most conventional remediation systems (i.e. air or oxygen sparging) cannot deliver enough DO to support complete degradation of the TPH mass that is present at a typical UST site. Because of this, ETEC developed the Super-Ox™ equipment systems, which are automated, programmable delivery platforms that include an integrated oxygen generator and patented thermodynamic mixing system to produce 40-ppm concentrations of stable dissolved oxygen in a water stream. These PLC-controlled units consistently process and infuse extracted groundwater with 40-ppm concentrations of DO, then amend this oxygenated water with necessary biological amendments prior to subsurface re-injection. This approach provides incredibly fast and cost-effective site-wide remediation. Click here to learn more about the key aspects of this process.

DO Delivery

At a 10-gpm process flowrate, the Super-Ox™ system will deliver approximately 6 lbs. of dissolved oxygen in a single day. This adds up to over 180 lbs. of dissolved oxygen per month, or over 2,000 lbs. per year!

At a 20-gpm process rate, this mass will be doubled, with an annual delivery of over 4,000 lbs. of dissolved oxygen!

Under a rental arrangement, ETEC provides replacement parts, service support, and data evaluation at no cost throughout the duration of the lease period.
